Facial Aesthetics

Wrinkles are an inevitable part of ageing and can be accelerated by exposure to the sun, excessive stress, diet, and weight loss. These wrinkles can be ‘static’, caused by the gradual loss of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, or ‘dynamic’, caused by repeated facial muscle movements. However, we can offer non-surgical facial treatments to help eliminate these lines and plump up areas of lost elasticity.

Anti-wrinkle injections

An ultra-fine needle is used to precisely deliver small amounts of a purified protein. This protein prevents certain facial muscles from contracting and stops the skin from creasing and is an ideal treatment for dynamic wrinkles, particularly in the upper part of the face, such as crow’s feet and forehead lines.

Treatment takes around 10-15 minutes and the effects will show in a couple of days. There is no need for a recovery period following the procedure.

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers can enhance skin by smoothing lines and plumping up areas of lost elasticity. They can be used to contour the cheeks and chin, correct acne or chicken pox scars, and fill deep lines. They can also restore a more youthful look to lips that have become thinner and lost definition.

A numbing cream is applied and tiny amounts of the gel-like filler are injected with a very fine needle into the areas requiring treatment. There is no need for a recovery period and results are instant with results lasting several months.

As with all non-surgical treatments, the effects will gradually wear off so you will need top-ups to maintain smoother, plumper skin. If anti-wrinkle injections are used regularly, effects will last longer and fewer top up appointments will be necessary.
